Reminding People That Voter Fraud is a Crime Offends Them – We Can’t Have That
Billboards Warning Against Voter Fraud Forced Down
Maybe Democrats won’t need to bring in accomplices from the United Nations to conduct the voter fraud upon which they have pinned their election hopes. Resistance to their banana republic tactics are effortlessly crumbling:
More than 140 billboards in Ohio and Wisconsin warning of the criminal consequences of voter fraud will be taken down starting on Monday after the sponsor chose to remove them rather than reveal its identity, the billboard owner [Clear Channel] said.
The billboards, which show a large judge’s gavel and read “Voter Fraud is a felony – up to 3 ½ years and a $10,000 fine,” went up primarily in low-income minority neighborhoods in early October, just weeks before the November 6 elections, and were immediately criticized by voter rights groups as an attempt to intimidate minority voters.
Things have come to a pretty pass when liberals can say with a straight face that it is “intimidation” to remind people that voter fraud is still technically against the law.
Not even removing the billboards is enough to please Democrats.
Cleveland City Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, one of the most vocal critics of the billboards, told Reuters on Sunday: “Needless to say I’m happy they will be taken down but I want to know who was behind this in the first place.”
Clear Channel — a reputedly conservative outfit — demonstrates its liquescent spine:
In response to the outcry, Clear Channel Outdoor donated 10 billboards around the Cleveland area that read “Voting Is a Right. Not a Crime!”
No one anywhere suggested that it was a crime for qualified citizens to vote once. What Obama, Phyllis Cleveland, the United Nations et al. are counting on is for illegal aliens to vote, and for others to vote multiple times. Clear Channel has assisted them by lending credibility to their bogus rhetoric and emboldening cheaters.
If taking the Hugo Chavez approach allows Obama to be reelected, we should change the name of the country to North Venezuela.
